ERITAGE OPEN DAYS

Morpeth's 2021 Heritage Open Days will take place on 16th and 19th September with a reduced programme of free events and online features on offer - details on the national Heritage Open Days website, the Heritage section of GMDT'S website and the GMDT Facebook page.

Morpeth Antiquarian Society 75th year. The monthly local history lecture series resumes at 7.15 pm on 24th September 2021 - initially on Zoom - with Lindsay Allason-Jones OBE on "Gardening in Roman Britain". See website and Facebook for future programme, to be announced.

The Roland Bibby Memorial Dialect Lecture presented by the Northumbrian Language Society will be recorded in October 2021 in front of a limited, distanced audience for future viewing online. Details will be released nearer the time. Any queries to 01670 513308.

Events from the first online Morpeth Northumbrian Gathering held in April 2021 are still available to view on the Gathering's YouTube channel. Plans for the 2022 festival events, whether in person, online or hybrid, will be published in due course.
